NEWS: New York Times piece on Zach Galifianakis

So apparently Zach Galifianakis is blowing up. Big time. What with The Hangover being released this week, Zach’s name seems to be twisting the tongues of most anyone talking about comedy these days (“alt” or otherwise). He even seems to be settling nicely into the David Cross/Patton Oswalt (holding?) pattern of popping up in more family-friendly fare for the paycheck. Or at least that’s what we can glean from the recent trailer to this summer’s Bruckheimer-produced Disney gerbil action film G-Force, where he co-stars with Nic Cage, Penelope Cruz, Tracy Morgan, Will Arnett, Steve Buscemi and Bill Nighy.

All this much ado has given rise to a lengthy, baby’s bottom-soft profile of Zach in The New York Times Magazine. It’s an interesting piece, especially if you interested in his stand-up persona (and you should be). Check it out here.
