Norm Macdonald has come back to do what he does best — act like an affable prick on the talk show circuit. Last week the SNL Weekend Update alumni/Dirty Work Star was a guest on Letterman, tackling living wills, dads, crystal meth, and Matlock. Despite the string of swears that closes the interview, it’s a little tamer than his thrashing of Courtney Thorne-Smith on Conan years ago. Even so, the man is just one hilarious guy.

So it’s just under a month until the Red Cyclone takes the reigns at The Tonight Show, and he wants to get this message out to the world. When Conan says tweet, we tweet. Enjoy.

Pizza the Hutt is dead. It’s a sad day for comedy indeed. This is 100% serious. Honest. Dom Deluise was awesome. Check out all the voices he did for amazing Disney and WB animated movies in the ’90s on his Wikipedia page. You may not know it, but you’ve laughed at/with Dom before.
And you’ve definitely […]

Yesterday, Todd Barry announced another handful of dates to his already expansive Spring tour, including the previously announced appearance at Washington’s Sasquatch Festival. So if you find yourself in or around North Dakota, Oregon or Missoula, Montana, see if you can’t do yourself a favour and catch Todd live. (Also: if you’re in or around Missoula, Montana, say hi to our friend Amy for us.) Also, if this hasn’t sated your desire for all things Todd Barry, read our interview with Todd here.

In an effort to promote his forthcoming television series, Michael Ian Black held a press conference yesterday, over Twitter. Twitter interviews will soon become the most popular way for comedians to make the best of convenient new technologies while still probably being entirely ironic about everything. Over the course of an hour, the guy answered about forty questions, though I’m not very good at counting so that number might be inaccurate.

A while ago our friend Alden got asked to fly to L.A. to record the soundtrack to this semi-major independent film. We were pretty psyched when he told us the film the film was set to star Arrested Development’s Michael Cera and Knocked Up’s Charlyne Yi, and was shot in (mock?) documentary style with the […]
April 27, 2009NEWS: Liam Neeson Will Punch You in the Throat!
So everyone loves a good cult film, right? And what’s better than getting in on the ground floor? I mean, imagine if you were the first person to struggle into your stepmom’s lingerie for a midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show or thought it’d be funny to throw plastic spoons at the screen […]
April 24, 2009NEWS: Tim and Eric Movie! (!!!)
It probably comes no surprise to anyone that reads this blog–does anyone read this blog?–that we reserve a borderline sycophantic reverence for the surreal goofballery of Tim Heidecker and Erich Wareheim. Because come on, the guys are joke yogis. That’s why we were pumped to find out that the comedy duo are currently working on […]
April 23, 2009NEWS: SNL cut-ups doing Spidey comic book
Earlier today, MTV reported that SNL stars Seth Meyers and Bill Hader are writing a one-shot Spider-man comic for Marvel. Carrying the title Spider-man: The Short Halloween (a riff on Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s Batman/Two-Face epic The Long Halloween), Meyers and Hader apparently landed the opportunity quite by chance […]
